Position Purpose

Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Prison Programs, the part-time instructor is responsible for teaching course content and preparing and keeping appropriate records for the assigned class. Instructor will provide effective instruction in all classes by following the CBI curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s Degree

CBI certified, version 3.1

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience in a prison and an associate degree.

Degrees and hours must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

Essential Duties

•Conduct class according to established meeting patterns and notify Coordinator of any changes.

•Provide feedback to students regarding course progression.

•Maintain suitable class records (registration forms, attendance reports, evaluation forms, etc.) and submit to Coordinator at the end of class.

•Inform prison staff and Coordinator of any student issues (attendance, behavior, etc.) as soon as possible.

Salary Range $23.24 - $25.53 hourly based on level of education
